Gardening Club
School Gardening
We are very fortunate to work with wonderful volunteers from the Dulverton Gardening Club who have created outstanding garden areas at both of our schools.
School gardening happens all year through and provides an opportunity for children to learn about growing plants, flowers, recycling and wildlife. We grow most of our plants from seed, allowing children to experience the life cycle of a plant first hand. Our garden is organised into sections and we grow a variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers.
The children have fun doing all sorts of activities from planting seeds, weeding, finding mini-beasts, planting out seedlings and watering the garden.
The RHS Campaign for School Gardening
Both schools are registered with The RHS Campaign for School Gardening which inspires and supports schools to provide children with gardening opportunities to enhance their skills and boost their development.
